In the province of Khanh Hoa, local police announced the arrest of two men accused of killing endangered monkeys. Just 3 days earlier Santa Anna Zoo allowed the viewing of two monkeys jusy born there.

There was a man caught transporting the dead bodies of two black-shanked doucs, a protected species. He told authorities that two men had hired him to transport the two monkeys.

Last week in the Santa Anna Zoo, two red-handed tamarins were born. The birth of the twin monkeys was a joyous occasion for the founders of the zoo who are required to uphold a quota of at least 50 monkeys at all times.
